It's a beautiful day for some fun!

We had a BEAUTIFUL weekend back in HoCo! I worked night shift on Thursday, then after a few hours of sleep headed for a visit.

We played outside for a long time! The kids loved it. Silly little man....

So proud of himself for getting on the pop-pop all by himself... mostly.

Avery and Kason getting a ride from Mimi

Beautiful Kaid with a baby of course.

Big man walking down to pop's hot rod garage.

Hanging out in Pop's Jeep! We even got a ride!

Don't worry - Kason didn't drive us. :)

Watching Uncle Josh work on his Jeep.

Kason meet Coach....

Kason attack Coach...

and going back for more - I'm so surprised that Coach didn't bite him! He's a rough little guy!

Hey, where'd he go?

What a beautiful picture! This is my favorite tree - I love it! Mom and dad have the perfect spot for a home, just beautiful. I love Spring!

I can't BELIEVE it - Kaidrie actually got in the Jeep for a ride AND on Pop's tractor! She has NEVER let us get her in either of them and both in one day! Amazing!

Then, the real reason for our trip home. Mere's bridal shower. It was so wonderful to see all of the girls again... it's not often enough. I'm so happy for Mere!

My little loves....

This week has gone by so quickly! We started our week on Sunday with some friends coming over for dinner - this is Josh and Lori's little one - Zoey. She's two months younger than Kason - I'm sure before long they will get to be good palls, but little mr couldn't stop hitting the little peanut. He was really ticked when mommy or daddy would hold Zoey - little jealousy there!

When I went in Kaid's room to get her up from her "nap" (more like quiet alone time playing) yesterday this is how I found her.

Then this morning when she woke up she got dressed for preschool.... she was convinced she was wearing this.... ummmm maybe not!

Then her latest outfit after nap time today....

Kason figured out that he could spin the wheels on Kaid's stroller... he sat there spinning it for about 15 min.

How dare mommy tell baby no! Why would I not want him pulling the folded clothes out of the basket!?

Ahhh... now that's what I'm talking about!

What a BEAUTIFUL day! Even though I work night shift tonight we still spent the entire day outside (oh yeah, I'm fried! Of course I lathered the sunscrean on the kids - but what I'm supposed to put it on myself too??) The kids loved it!

Where would the little boy go - but in the only spot of mud in the lawn of course!

I set up an obstical in front of the stairs.... but in no time he figured out how to get by that!
We had been out quite a few times to play the past few weeks and so far he hadn't figured out how to get past that first step. He would just hang out in that spot for about 20 min. You could tell he was really thinking about it and trying to figure this thing out.
Look ma - new trick!
And another! Yep, he figured it out! Little stinker!

Peek a boo!

This is fun stuff!

About 2 seconds before the handfull of dead grass went in his mouth.

Waving to sis!

Kaid singing her "Ocean Motion" song - check out Kason in action in the background.

two healthy kids!

Kaidrie and Kason had their checkups this past week. The Dr said they both look great.

Miss Kaid was a stinker as she normally is.. :) Her Dr is probably starting to wonder if she really can talk. She weighed in at 37 1/2 lbs (66th percentile) and 43 1/2 in (96th %!!) tall. She was scheduled for an eye exam but they couldn't do it because she wouldn't talk to the nurse to tell her what the picture is. If anyone has any suggestions I'd LOVE them! I'm at a loss on what to do with her in situations like this and I'm getting very sick of the "I'm shy" or "I'm sleepy" excuse!

Goofy girl wearing her baby brother's coat. I think it's hilarious that she actually was able to zip it up!

Little man weighed a whopping 21 lbs 12 oz (only 62th - shocking!) and was 29 in (70th %) I caught him standing by himself the other day! Big stuff! He's also waving now - it's so cute to watch him concentrate on moving his little fingers to wave like we do!

He stopped taking his morning nap about 3 weeks ago or so, but some days he's just so sleepy. He just couldn't keep his eyes open after he finished lunch - so cute.

Happy Easter!

Thinking back to last Easter... I was still laying in bed day in and day out baking this little man... Kaidrie called the Easter Bunny "Rooster Bunny" Oh how they have grown in a year!

Kaid and I colored eggs on Easter Eve... we didn't do that many, but did just enough to have fun! Here she is so proud of her eggs!

The Easter bunny came and he made such a mess! There was Easter grass and eggs all over the house! He's quite the "sneaky guy" as Kaid says! The kids got lots of clothes, movies, toys, and candy. That Easter Bunny is one cool guy!

Kason was only interested in eating the Easter grass!

Kaid trying to show her brother what the bunny brought for him.

So pretty in her dress.

The best I could get of little man! While looking at this picture I see he's in need of a hair cut!

It was a beautiful day! After church we went outside to try to get a few cute shots....

and we tried....

and tried....

Oh well - we may not have gotten good ones of them together, but we got some cute ones of them each. I love this one of Kason!

Kaid all gussied up, even with her gardening gloves and dress up shoes on - "mommy, take my picture!" She's hot stuff!

Since we didn't go back home for Easter (Randy worked late the day before and the kids have Dr appt's today so we knew it would be a short rushed trip so decided to have a quiet holiday here) our wonderful neighbors, Jimmy and Bonnie, invited us over for a while so after lunch and naps we went over to do a little egg hunt for the kids and visit with their family. We had a wonderful time and feel so blessed to have such great neighbors!

I never knew you could burn your arm with STEAM! I was draining the water off the potatoes and OUCH! It's feeling much better today but is still a little tender and red!

My Magnolia is blooming! I think this is the 4th spring we've had it and it's never bloomed before and I actually thought it was a goner years ago! It's going to be beautiful this year! I can't wait! I love spring!
