Fun times...

Here a couple of pics from when the kids stayed at Mimi and Pops while we were away playing. They had a great time as always and got to go over to grandma and pa's for a while to play too. As you can see - they were worn out! Kaidrie was so sleepy after so much fun that she took such a long nap that mimi had to wake her up.

Takin a bath in the big tub in the basement. Like my tats?

Back home and trying on sis's shoes

This is how I eat my oatmeal....

Yummm... at least the oatmeal isn't in my hair... yet..

Little cutie with 4 new teeth coming in. You'd never know it, but maybe that's the reason he was so mean and biting and pulling hair last week! That makes the grand total 16 teeth at exactly 15 months!

Bath time with BUBBLES! Kason wasn't so sure about it at times, mainly when we had the jets on to make the bubbles. It almost reminded me of Kaid when she was a baby. If there was ANY bubbles in the bathtub she would SCREAM! What baby doesn't like bubbles!

The city that never sleeps....

And we now know why - because the security guards won't let you! lol Since we fly stand-by we always try to get to our destination early so we make sure we get there! We were scheduled to get in to Las Vegas at midnight. I went back and forth on if we should get a hotel that first night and everyone I talked to said there would be PLENTY to do all night long that we wouldn't need to sleep! So, we opted for that... the only thing we didn't take into consideration was the 3 hour time change! So, whereas it would have been morning at home already, it was still the middle of the night there! We hung close to our hotel the next day, the new Hilton, and one of the casinos close by had this big couch off the beaten path. So, we hung out there a while.... every time we even closed our eyes for a second the security guards were there waking us up! Then at about 6am Vegas time (9am our time) we went to the Hilton to see if we could "look around" we found a wonderful lounge with a comfy couch and a TV. We fell asleep for about an hour until once again, the security guards were there to wake us up. Luckily we were able to check into our room at about 7:30am and took a good nap! Starting a busy few days in Vegas like that was rough!

Here was the strip coming in on the plane. A little blurred, but looks kinda cool!

Our hotel was right on Las Vegas Blvd.

Our beautiful pool from our room window.

New York New York How cool!

Trying to take our own picture in front of the Ballagio water show.

Across the street at the "Eiffel tower" that is at the "Paris" hotel.

once again, the water show... so amazing! The videos are at the bottom since my computer is being stupid and won't let me move them today.

Inside the Ballagio in the gardens.

Tree with attitude

Inside the MGM they have a cool Lion exhibit! In a different area where the adult Lions are they had 2 little baby cubs playing. They were so cute!

The adult lions were sleeping the entire time we were there watching. Right next to them there were 2 men standing in there just talking. Crazy people!

On Monday night we met up with one of my friends from college, Angie. It was so great to see her again and catch up! She and her husband live there now - everyone who talks bad about facebook - I would never have known she was there had it not been for facebook!

This was inside the Grand Station Shoppes (I think) So cool.

Waiting for the volcano show to start at the Mirage. I think this is where mom and dad stayed years ago.

I think to get the whole effect we should have been better had we been on the other side of the street.

We were there this night also to watch the water show again.

There is lots of construction there right now! Many projects have been put on hold until the economy gets a little better, and others are just trucking right through despite that. This was the view out of the top of our hotel. You can see the Trump tower, and I think that's the Wynn and Encore in the back... I already forget and it hasn't been that long since we've been back!

The ______________ and the Stratosphere

As we were getting ready to take off this was the best picture we could get of the back of the strip. The big green one is the MGM

We had a fun time, but we almost felt like we needed a vacation afterwards! We were going the entire time and definitely got our exercise in walking!! The best thing we did was to get an all day pass on the monorail the little train that went all over the strip. I didn't take us long to realize we are not good gamblers! We are savers and to put a $20 in a slot machine was just ridiculous when we didn't get anything for it! Randy won a little money on blackjack, so in the end we probably only lost about $30. I would have rather gotten 3 shirts at Old Navy! There was so much to do there and even though we we were so ready to get home (we actually changed our flights to leave 8 hours early) it would have been nice to have a longer time there so we wouldn't have felt like we had to do so much in such a small amount of time! We didn't even get time to go to any of the shows there and we would have loved to take a day and go to the Grand Canyon. Oh well, maybe for another trip!

What a man!

Yes, this little guy has been at it again. Oh, he is just as sweet and ornery as they come! I'm not sure how I missed this video about 2 weeks ago, but here is the little puppy eating his bone....

Yesterday was quite the day for Kason! First, while I was cleaning up breakfast he and Kaid were playing in the living room. Kaid yelled to me, "mom, why does Kason have his diaper off?" Sure enough, there he was running around in his birthday suit....

Okay, so maybe he has seen me sweeping quite a few times, but I have NEVER cleaned like this. Not sure who he picked this up from? Maybe Randy is a closet sweeper?

So I thought... hmmm... maybe this is a good time to introduce the potty. He kind of looked at it like, what mom? What do you want me to do here?
Soon after this we went up stairs so I could shower. I always close Kaid's door, our bedroom door and the baby gate before the stairs, and leave him to play in the hallway and his room while Kaid "watches" him. When I got out you should have seen the mess! Every piece of clothing from his drawers was on the floor. The toys from the toy box were mixed among them. Then he's off for his next thing. The baby gate. He was determined to figure it out - I thought no harm in letting him try... no WAY he's going to get it (it's one of those that you have to step on hard and push the gate open... some adults have trouble with it!) Now wouldn't you know - HE DID IT! The little stinker actually figured out the baby gates at 14 months! So, if the next time you see me, I'm a little stinky - it's because I no longer have a safe place to put the child so I can shower! Kaid couldn't do the gates until at least 2 1/2!! Just unbelievable!

Up in my hallway I have our wedding picture hanging with some things around it and a sign that says "all because two people fell in love" I had a cute picture of Kaid in black & white in it but figured it was time to have one of the two of them together... So I set out to get a good one.

This one was the winner and it looks beautiful in black and white!

I love picnik!

goofin off

It's been a sick kind of week! After my stomach flu, Randy got it, then I got some yuck cold. I think Kason's had a little touch of it with a snotty nose off and on all week... but now I hope all are on the mend! All of these posts are thanks to a call off tonight... which stinks because I don't work at all next week because of VEGAS, but is good so I get a good night sleep to get over this cold!

One of Kason's favorite hang outs these days... inside the toy box.

Kaid wanted daddy to put a tattoo on her hand... by the time it was all said and done she had about 12 all up and down her arms!

Kason had about 9 and he looks a little worried about the situation!

Kaid making muscles and showing off her tats.

Ahhh, yes and I almost forgot to add.... Kaid wanted to put one on me so I had her put it up on my upper arm, shoulder area so hopefully it wouldn't show much for calling hours that night. Well I obviously wasn't thinking about the shirt I had planned to wear and it definitely showed! Everyone that knew me commented on it, and a few that didn't asked if it was real... and a man in the grocery store stopped me and asked if it was real. It was a Hello Kitty much like the one Kaid has on her hand here... no Sir it's not real, although I LOOK 13, I'm not. Thanks. lol

and into the baskets again.

Hop on the mommy horsey.

Ahhh... yes, I caught the perfect moment with this little man. This is what Kason looks like most of the day. Being ORNERY! He's sitting in a little baby doll rocking chair and just being... well.... Kason.

Check out the milk drool on that chin

Yay! Good fun!

Only a couple more days and these two little squirts are off to spend a few days at mimi and pop's while mommy and daddy take a little trip to Las Vegas! Yay! It will be so nice to get away, just the two of us, but we will be missing them every day!
