Summer is coming to an end...

At the car wash.... Kaid just loves to "help" with everything so just had to help daddy wash the car!



This bubba is just full of smiles! Sometimes we had to practically stand on our heads to get a smile out of Kaid, but all you have to do is look at this little man and he is all smiles and does this cute little chuckle! He is too sweet!

Better keep up the growing Kaid because your baby brother is going to catch up to you in no time!



Kason had his 2 month check up on Monday. He is looking great and is quite the big boy at a whopping 13lbs 13oz (90th percentile), 24 in long (80th) and head circ was somewhere around 15 which was 30th percentile. So, I guess that means he's got a huge body and little head... lol. I think it's just because she didn't measure his cheeks! He got his first round of shots and was still sniffleing when we got to mimi and pop's about 2 hours later. It just broke his heart (and mommy's!)

I just LOVE this picture! He loves interacting with us. When we talk to him, he just lights up! He loves to stand and is such a strong little man for only being 9 weeks old!

There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping child....


Our last dip in the pool for the summer I'm sure! :( The summer has just gone by so quickly, where oh where did it go?

And it was little man's first dip in the pool...

He wasn't impressed and it only lasted about 2 minutes!

Kaid thought it was SO cool that that baby Kason came swimming with her. She is quite the fish in the water.

Kaidrie finally gets her FIRST haircut!

For being a kid who could have used a haircut from day one (She is a little over 1 month in this picture) we sure did get away without a haircut for a long time! Daddy had her terrified to get her haircut for a long time because he just LOVES her long hair! Today we all decided it was time...

We went to a place just for kids to help her out a little... anyone who knows her well, knows how she can freak out in situations like this. So this was a BIG DEAL! She got to sit in a fire truck and watch Dora while she got her hair cut.

Although she WOULD NOT talk to the girl cutting her hair she did so good! She sat so still and didn't make a peep! Some of her locks after she was done.

She took about 4-5 inches off! Daddy gives her good job hugs and she got a balloon and a sucker for being SOOO brave. Hey, this hair cutting stuff can be pretty scary don't you know!

Her new haircut looks so cute and the most important part - she LOVES it! Daddy's still not so sure if he likes it or not... a little bitter-sweet!

Kason thinks she looks pretty good and can't wait until they are bigger and all of her cute friends come over to play! :)

* so what do you think... does Kason look like his big sis as a baby or what (other than the wacky hair)! It is amazing when he wears a neutral sleeper that Kaid used to wear... I feel like I'm looking in her eyes all over again! *

On our way to Virgina to watch uncle Chad play baseball Kaid was drawing pictures... most kids would draw a puppy or kitty... not Kaid, she draws a "wild pig!"

The hotel had a swimming pool and miss Kaid was SO excited to have a little swimming time!

After Chad got done pitching we went down by the locker rooms to take a picture with our favorite baseball player!

After the game Kaid got to "run the bases" although because she was scared of the puppies it was more like being dragged around by aunt Kimmy.


When we got back to HC we went to my uncle's house to visit with my mom's family while my cousin and her family were in from California.
My grandma gets to meet Kason for the first time... she will never remember though :)

Afterwards some of us girls went shopping... Mom was needing someone to push in a cart since Avery and Kaidrie didn't come along, so Em hopped in!


The next day Aunt Lisa, AJ and Evanne came to mom and dad's to swim with us!

Kaid is such a little fish. She jumps in by herself and goes under! I am so impressed with how she is swimming this year!

She's even cute when she's grouchy... at least as far as looks go! :)

Pop tries to teach Kaid how to dive in! She had to count to 5 with her fingers before she could jump in... and that's the deep end! What a girl!


Kason rolled over from belly to back for the first time! WOW! I can't believe how fast he is growing! At his 5 week check up he weighed a whopping 11lbs 7oz! I was just amazed! The boy does like to eat! He is spending more of his days awake now, but is still sleeping the majority of the day. Oh, and less grunting and a little more cooing! I just love watching him change day to day!

He is smiling! SO CUTE! This is how the pictures get taken when you are trying to take the picture and make him smile!
