Chapstick obsession!

What happens when you have a 3 year old that is obsessed with chapstick? So, we were at my mom and dad's this weekend (yes, I did get Dr's permission to finally travel!! Wahoo!) and she grabbed a thing of chapstick out of Mimi's drawer and starts applying like she normally does - CAKES it on! Little did she know it was not the typical clear chapstick but bright red. When she saw herself in the mirror she started cracking up! Mommy and Mimi joined in on the fun! Oh the funny things little miss Kaid does!

Getting ready for baby!

No new pictures this week, just my appointment update. Everything is looking okay - cervix is still very short, but at least I didn't lose any more length since last appt! Cerclage comes out on June 2nd!! Two weeks from today! How wonderful! I got the clear to go back home this weekend to go to Molli's wedding reception and to hang out and even GO IN the pool! YAY! NST's are going good - they had to wake him up with the buzzer today to get him to react - he was not impressed with that sound! Tentative induction date is June 23rd! Mom is coming this week to get everything ready for him, and after this weekend I'm DONE with bedrest! I want him to stay in for at least one more week, then after that point whenever he comes is fine with me!

The end is in sight!

Well, my 32 week appointment went okay today. My cervix shortened quite a bit since 2 weeks ago but my Dr was still ok with it and said we would keep a close eye on it and he would just take out my cerclage earlier if needed so I didn't tear through it. I guess my increase in activity and stronger contractions are doing some damage! Bummer! I was really enjoying being up a little more. He said as long as I get to 35w he will be happy.

He weighs 3lbs 13oz! I had my first non-stress test (NST) today and it went okay. The nurse was a little concerned that he wasn't having the accelerations during movement like he should have been, but every time he would jump around the monitor wouldn't pick up his heartbeat, so I'm sure that was the problem. My Dr was happy with how he looked, but wanted me to come back on Friday for another. Then from here on out I will go every Monday and Thursday. I'll keep everyone updated!

Here is a belly shot today - he's getting big... and so am I!

Our little Jumping Bean

This little man is a pro at beating mommy up! It is great to feel him being so active and even cooler to SEE him from the outside! His favorite spot is getting his little foot as far underneath my right rib and digging in! OUCH! At 24 weeks he weighed 1lb 6oz, at 28w he was 2lbs 6oz and by 32w he should be right around 4lbs!

Our Baby Boy

This was the last ultrasound we had done. If you look closely, you can see a cute little profile! It's hard to get a good picture because he is getting so big! I can't wait to see how much he weighs on Wednesday!

Little Miss Kaid

Kaidrie is doing so good with all of this. She has really impressed me, I think she is doing better with me being down than I am. I hate it that I can’t do the things I used to do with her, but like I said – the end is in sight!!!
The kid just cracks me up! She is always singing and doesn’t stop talking. Sometimes I just BEG for 5 minutes of quiet! I don’t get my wish very often though! She had a great Third Birthday! I just can’t believe she is already 3! Time sure does fly. This September she will be starting preschool! Just 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours but I know it will be good for her. She's very social around people she knows, but if there is anyone in the room she doesn't know she freaks out! I figured this would be a good S-L-O-W way to get her ready for school when she is 5. Her favorite things are her baby dolls and recently her doctor "check-up" stuff! She loves checking out mommy and her babies!

So, what's new with us?

We will see how this works... I'll try to keep everyone updated on how things are going here in our lives! I guess I have plenty of time on my hands for the next few weeks until I'm tied down with 2 little ones.
Kaid just love talking to her baby brother! Anytime anyone by her tries to feel him moving, she yells at them and pushes their hand away! She's already very protective of him! This picture was taken when I was 28 weeks.

I'm heading into 32 weeks which is quite a relief! It has been the never-ending pregnancy and I'm so glad to see the light at the end of the tunnel! So, plans as of now:

32 weeks - Fetal Non-Stress Tests start 2 days a week
35 weeks - last Progesterone shot! Yay!!
36 weeks - CERCLAGE OUT! I'll be a FREE WOMAN!
38 weeks - Induction if he hasn't come already!

My last appointment at 30 weeks everything looked great! I told him I have just felt wonderful since 27 weeks when he flipped to head down. He said that that is usually the turning point because the baby's weight is more on the pelvic bones and not so much on the cervix. So, I've been able to have many short outings since then! I'm pretty worn out after, but it has been wonderful seeing life outside my living room for a change!

I'm finally starting to buy stuff for when the baby comes home and thanks mostly to my sis-in-law, Jody his closet is almost full! She had tons of neutral things for my niece, Avery that our little man will be able to wear also!
