Just a few notes...

No pictures today, but lots of fun stuff.

First of all - we are so proud of Chad (Randy's sister, Kim's husband for those of you who don't know)! He just found out today that he will be going to AA in Corpus!! AND - he will be a back-up for the Houston Astros tomorrow! Say lots of prayers for him as he heads into AA - he has worked so hard to get there and it is a life long dream to get there. I hope the next step is the Majors! How cool is that!

Next on the list of good "almost" news is, in a few days we will be blessed with another niece! Lisa (Randy's brother Kirby's wife) is SO ready to pop and her due date is only 2 days away. Hopefully things get moving soon so we can meet this new little one! Lots of prayers for a safe delivery! I'll be updating and hopefully will have pictures to show after our trip to see her!

Last, we got the kids pictures taken last week - they turned out SO cute! I can't wait to get them back. I don't believe they are posted on the site yet, but keep checking back and hopefully they will be there within the next 5 days or so.

Enjoy your week! I'm sure after our trip home this weekend we'll have lots of pictures to post!

Can you believe I'll be 9 months old tomorrow!?!

Ah yes, I will admit I am a Baby Einstein mom! It is amazing how still a child can be for 10-15 minutes when that show is on! Oh how many things you can get done in that short amount of time! I need all the little breaks I can get with this mobile man!

After a busy busy day with no nap then a trip to the park Mr man was tuckered out before we even left the park! This is how fast asleep he was by the time we got home. Bet he had a neck ache when he woke up!

So, he's figured out how to open up the drawers. Nothing is safe anymore! I'm sure the diaper drawer is going to be a great joy for him... maybe not so much for mommy after putting them away a million times a day!

This is the sweet little face I see all the time when I sit down on the floor - him crawling up onto my lap. Ahhh those eyes! You can't see the shirt very well, but it says "Lock up your daughters" lol

I'm stuck!!!

Little leap frog trying to get the balloon

- is vertical more than he's horizontal - loves standing and walking holding on to things.

- has 8 teeth

- loves getting his tongue

- gives hugs when we say "big hugs"

- Favorite sound to make "Ahhh Baaahhhh"

- throws Cheerios's off his highchair on purpose

I'm not the mom of a 4 year old!

YET..... I still have 2 more days before that, but we did have a fun birthday party on Sunday to Celebrate! Kaid wanted a "Princess" party of course - so that's what we had - a birthday for a little princess.

Kaidrie's cousin, Evanne, had a pretty barbie cake for her birthday and Kaid hadn't stopped talking about it since!! So, Mimi offered to make her one and she turned out beautiful! I made some fun cupcakes and Lu made a yummy cake with Strawberries on top!
Kaidrie does not like being the center of attention so every year for her birthday she doesn't really like the singing and all eyes on HER part. She didn't want to blow out her candles - so I think we sang "Happy Birthday" 4 times to try to get her to blow them out - finally her friend Brandon couldn't take it any more and helped her out!

Kason may not have gotten any cake (as far as I'm aware - but he did have 2 grandmas there... so who knows! :) but her sure did love the noodles!

At first Kaid wasn't sure about the opening gifts part either - she's a strange kid like that - but once she got into it, she flew through those great gifts! She got some fun toys and cute clothes - thanks everyone!

The babies at the party - Dylan, Kason and Ayden

The big kids with their kites
Evanne, Kaidrie, Avery, AJ, Isaiah and Brandon

Making their craft...

Kaid has really been working on writing her name. She has to have me write it out for her then she does her best at writing it.

I'd say she does pretty good! I started a tradition this year.... I bought table cloths for the kids that I will use every year at their party and every year I'm going to trace their hands so they can see how they've grown over the year! Here's a picture of Kaid's first print - I wish I would have thought of this 3 years ago!

The little ones loved the balloons! Kason would crawl after it and hit it away then go get it again!

Our niece and nephew, Avery and Isaiah are about 3 months apart and I think this is the first time they have ever been together - it was fun watching them play... and get angry with each other over a toy! They were so funny!

Doesn't she just look beautiful - even though she feels totally awkward (I know the feeling!) - she really looks great! The next time we see her she will have our baby niece in her arms - hopefully less than 2 weeks from now!

Randy always loves flipping the little ones up in the air - Kaidrie is too long and lanky for it and Kason is still too little, but Avery and Isaiah are just right! I think it was the first time Avery had ever done it so she wasn't so sure at first, but Isaiah has done it quite a few times and he just thinks it's the greatest!

Can't tame the tiger!

This face may look sweet and innocent - but man is he ornery! He is a pro at pulling himself up on furniture and cruising now and at least once every 10 minutes we hear him cry out of frustration because he fell down! This little guy is going to have his share of bumps and bruises! He's fearless!

He can crawl the "right" way instead of what I came to call his "leap frog" It's so sweet to see him crawling for real now.

Yeah so this face says - "what else can I get into!"

"What, who me? Did you just say no to me?"

He's THINKS he's getting good at the stairs - baby gates are in place! He's pretty quick!

Sitting still - but only for a moment - with sissy!

Kaid used to love it when daddy did this and Kason loves it just as much!

Yay! We're working on teaching him how to clap.

At the end of a busy day - at least he crashes hard! And sometimes, sometimes for a short amount of time we see a glimpse of that tiny baby that was content to just sit and watch the world around him. I love how they pull their legs up to sleep - too precious!

Can't forget one of Kaid and her best bud Steve. He came to visit last week and although she only sees him every few months you'd think they were together every day. She just loves him!

Disney on Ice

I thought it was so sweet when Randy saw a commercial for Disney on Ice and said "Lets take Kaid - she would love that!" Usually on things like that it can sometimes be like pulling teeth to get the man to go! So, we got a sitter for Kason and we had a night out with only Kaid. She hasn't had mommy and daddy all to herself for an evening since Kason was born! She's been talking about going to "Disney World" all week now!

She was SO excited when Minnie mouse came out on the ice! Her favorites other than Minnie were the princesses of course!

The Incredibles packing up for their trip to Disney World!

It was had getting a good picture in the dark - even though we were pretty close to the rink - but you can make out Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto and Mickey Mouse!

At the end they had the castle all lit up! It was beautiful!
She had a great time and is already talking about taking Kason when he's old enough to go! What a fun night out!

Showin off!

He's getting to be a big man now!

Squealing because he's so excited he did it!
