We wish you a Merry Christmas....

Wow - it was a busy 4 days! My house is finally starting to get back to normal - all of the new toys have finally found a "place" and the Christmas decorations are down. Now all it needs is a good cleaning (and a new roof!) and I'll fell better about my house again! So, finally getting around to posting our Christmas celebrations.

Randy's family always gets together on Christmas Eve. We played games and just had fun being together and opening presents. While I was on bedrest I made all of the girls in our families scarves - here they are modeling them!

some more of the crew..

Paul made the kids all toy boxes for Christmas! Didn't he do a great job!

Wow - how do you get 5 kids Four years and younger to all look at the camera at the same time?? Pure LUCK!

Kaid opening up her presents. After they got them all opened they wondered where the rest of their presents were.....

Daddy and Kason.

Then on to my family's for Christmas day. Kason was happy as a clam propped up in the basket chewing on his new toys!

Okay, so the toy won't fit in your mouth - just go for the fingers!

Santa was so good! Kaid's favorite toy was one of those big barbie hair style heads.... let me tell you, kind of freaks you out when you walk around the corner and see that thing on the couch or floor. Yikes! She loves it!

Kason, Kaid and Avery

So sweet! Avery was so funny with these little squishy, gooey snowmen.... She walked around saying "Ewwie" the whole day - I guess before that she screamed when they put it in her hand.

Merry Christmas baby girl - yeah, so I know, mornings are quite my thing!

Mimi and her girls and yes, you guessed it, Kaid was being stubborn! Go figure!

The next day Beth, Brian and all 5 kiddos came over for a good evening. Before they got there I asked Kaid if she knew who was coming and she said, "SANTA!" lol sorry Kaid, Santa can't afford to come more than once a year! The kids (and the adults too) all had such a fun time and were still going strong at 10pm!
Okay - so explanation on this one! :) Krista showed us a snipit on You-tube on face exercises to do to have a firm young looking face. We were all laughing about it and it just so happens that mom HAD the tape and even was able to pull it out. So, moms key to not looking her age (yep, she's really really old... :) ) is this tape... I'll try to get the site address so you all can check it out and look young like we do. lol

Great Grandma and Kason

Then.... Saturday Randy's dad's family all got together - I think there were about 60 there! Amazing!
Jenn, Randy and their 2 little ones, and Ryan were there! It was great to see you all again!
It's amazing how getting out a cell phone can attract so many kids! Kimmy entertaining the kiddies!
Then she taped them all singing "Jesus loves me" so they could all watch it!

Isaiah just being cute

Talented Heather making balloon animals for the kids. Poor Kaid popped hers soon after this was taken and you would have thought someone cut her hair off! She was pretty feeling pretty rough to begin with because of the busy few days we had and no nap, but wow she was a treat! :)

Well, that's it for now.... I'll see if I can "steal" some of the good pictures from Jody and Jenn's blogs to post some better ones! :) I didn't get my camera out as much as I had hoped! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I'm sure you all are as happy as I am that it's over :) even though it was fun while it lasted!

My blue eyed babe

Well, we found out a few days ago that we need to replace our roof after we noticed we had water damage in our bedroom. Ugh... so to try to save some money I decided I could take Kason's 6 month pictures on my own. He wasn't much in the mood for pictures.... what 6 month old is, but with the help of everyone getting him to smile we got some cute shots. Here are a few of my favs!

Trying to sit on his own... still a little tipsey at times!

Weeee - daddy holding Kason up in the air!

I thought it would be cute to get a few shots with son Christmas decorations... evidently not the greatest idea - he just wanted to play with them, so this is as good as we got! :)

Jody got this shot - check out those baby thighs! Love them!

Give it to me... Give it to me!

Little man is 6 months old today!!! Amazing! He is still such a sweet thing and is doing so many new things now! He's working on his 3rd tooth - the top left. A little bit of it is just starting to pop through! I'll be glad once this teething thing is over... it'll be a while! He is ALL HANDS and ALL BOY! He wants to grab everything! From your plate, to hair, to cheeks to arms - everything is being pinched, scratched or kicked! He's doing pretty good at sitting by himself, but you still have to be right beside him to catch him when he falls and is still rolling all over the place! Such a sweet little guy.

So, he had his first taste of cucumber! He thought that was SO cool! He obviously never took a bite out of it, but had a grand time sucking on it!
So much so that when he dropped it....

He was NOT impressed!
We wish you all a Merry Christmas! I'm very excited about this year - Kaid's reactions are just going to be amazing this year!

You are my sweetheart

A picture is worth 1,000 words....

I'm so glad we finally have our happy little man back! I was so afraid Mr grumpy was here to stay, but now that he's feeling better he's my sweet little man again!

YAY! My first taste of real food - or as real as baby food tastes that is! Kason got his first bite of sweet peas and although he doesn't look impressed in this picture, he LOVED it! Yummy! After a few days of those, we tried green beans - he ate them up, but wasn't crazy about it. Green beans were the only baby food Kaid didn't like much either!

Look what I can do! He's almost sitting on his own. He does really good with the help of the boppy, but even on his own he can for a little while before he's eating the carpet or his toes! Yay for you Mr!

This week we got together with my friend Niki from college and her little man, Logan. Kaid and Logan had a great ol' time playing - and even got to open presents and play with play dough!

While I was at work, Randy took some really cute pictures of the kids! Way to go daddy!

How cute is this!

On Thursday Kaid had her Christmas program at Preschool. She does so good at these and it's so fun to watch her really get into it! Just warms my heart to see her!

Kaid's turn to "ring the bell"

When we got home, man, was she a dancing machine! She was watching one of the little dance movies that our cousin, Meggy, gave her.

Check this out - break it down Kaid! Sorry it's sideways - I'm not sure how to flip videos.... I'll play around with it and see if I can get it to work. In the meantime....

All because two people fell in love...

I can't believe that 10 years ago today Randy was at my front doorstep picking me up for the first time! We went to his work Christmas Party and the rest is history. Would I have known that day that 10 years later we would still be together and have a wonderful life - I'm not sure, but I knew there was something special about this guy! It didn't take either of us long to figure it out though.

It all started way back when...

There was a little boy...

And a little girl....

Even though for most of our lives we lived about 5 minutes from eachother we didn't meet until my senior year in high school. We saw eachother a few times at "The Club" our fitness center back home, then we officially met when Randy's friend, Steve introduced us. Randy knew he wanted to date me but it took the encouragement from Coach Reese to finally get the nerve to call and ask me out!

What babies we were! Look how young we look!
Janna - 17 Randy - 20

We made it all through college - me in Columbus, Randy in Pittsburgh. We both knew by this time that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together! All we had to do was wait!

May of my Junior year of college Randy asked me to be his wife! What an amazing day - what an amazing life we knew we would have - together!!

We were married on a beautiful day in July! It was the most wonderful day. I didn't have the wedding day jitters at all because I knew I was marrying the right man for me!

We honeymooned in Aruba - it was just perfect!

We both were so excited to build our life and our home together! We moved into our new house and started dreaming of what the future would hold.
Celebrating our 1st Anniversary!

We spent our first year together traveling and enjoying being together as husband and wife before becoming....

We always knew life would change after having kids, and although since we have become parents the time for the two of us is often few and far between there are some times that we have been able to remember what it was like just being Randy and Janna!
When Kaid was about 1 1/2 we took off to Florida while she stayed with our parents. It was wonderful to have that time and I hope we will get the chance to do that again soon!

Most of our time away is just an evening here or there, but every once in a while mimi and pop would take Kaid for a weekend and we'd go have some fun... Here we went to a Nascar race in Michigan...

Then to a country concert.
Now since we have a new little one, it may be a while but we will get that time again soon!
Way back 10 years ago, when we started dreaming... this is exactly what I thought the dream would be like. Although life has had some major bumps along the way - those hard times have brought us closer. He is such a comfort to me, knowing I always have that support and love - knowing that day we said "I do" we made the right choice! Thank you honey for giving me the past 10 years of your life, I know there will be many, many more. I love you.
