Christmas came and went as fast this year as it does every year. We had such a blast, but it always feels good when everything is put away and cleaned up and back to normal.
Our first Christmas of the day on Christmas eve was with Aunt Beth, Uncle Brian and all the kids. I miss hanging out with them all of the time! What a beautiful clan...
Kason opening his super cool airplane outfit!
Kaid got a cute cute polkadot outfit! Thank you thank you Bethy - you always pick out the cutest things for the kids! Can't wait to see you all again!
yep, this is how family pictures look like these days for us... :)
Josh, Jody and Avery
Hanging out in mimi and pop's basement.
Weee....
Uncle Josh getting some little boy time with his little nephew.
We had to head out to Randy's family Christmas. We are so blessed that our families live so close to one another - it may be a drive to get there, but at least when we are there we get to see everyone! Randy's family has always done their thing on Christmas eve, which works out perfectly!
Kaid getting ready to open her gift from grandma and pa... and saying her line of the day, "why am I not surprised" (not sure why she chose this to say... I say pleanty of other things that she could have picked up on instead!)
She was so excited to get this! This is what she asked Santa for, but since Santa somehow knew grandpa was building her one, he got her something else. :) He does such a nice job, I'm so glad he's so willing to build the things I tell him they would like!
Kason opening his gift!
Yay! A box of blocks... what else could a little boy want!
The girls in their pretty jewelery!
The crew...
Playing with Kason's new toy from Kirb, Lisa and the kids
and so excited about it!
Kason was so sweet sitting here just "talking" away to McKenzie.
All these new toys and what do they want to do? Sit in a box...
And pregnant Kimmy and baby McKenzie in a box too...
The kiddos wanted to watch a movie down in the basement, so grandma spending some time with her grandbabies.
and the rest of the crazy crew playing spoons....
What a little beauty. Her eyes are just amazing!
Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa, Kevin and AJ, Evanne, and McKenzie for the fun toys! We love them all. And thank you Rolly Aka Lisa, and Missy for our gifts! What a nice Christmas it was!
When we got back to Mimi and pops... Kaid didn't want to forget to put the reindeer food in the lawn and cookies and milk out for Santa!
SANTA came! He always finds us even when we are at Mimi and Pops! Kaidrie showing Kason all of the things he got in his stocking!
Santa brought Kaid a swing for baby Alyssa! AND snuck into her bedroom and put a Christmas outfit on Alyssa - he is one sneaky guy!
Poor little Kason had a rough night Christmas eve. Not only did he wake up early on Christmas eve, he didn't get a nap, and went to bed late (but you wouldn't have known it by how happy he still was all day).... he also fell down the stairs at Grandma and grandpas, and was up for about an hour in the middle of the night screaming with a stomach ache from all the fruit he ate the day before. But Christmas morning he was his normal cheery self... just a little sleepier!
The kid is in heaven with all the new trucks and cars and tractors he got! Life couldn't get much better than this for this little man!
Daddy showing off the handprint molds the kids made for him.
The kids both got suitcases for our Hawaii trip next month (yay!) and Kaid got lots of baby clothes and assessories for her baby!
Soon after we got done opening our family gifts, Josh Jody and Avery got there and Mom and dad came down to join us and open more gifts!
Mimi reading a Christmas story to the girls (and boy, but he was in his own little world playing with his new toys)
Passing out the presents.
More for miss Kaid
And Avery too!
One of Kason's favorite gifts was his big basketball hoop and ball. He LOVES balls almost as much as he loves trucks and cars! I'm not sure what kind of move he's making here.... I'm pretty sure that's now how you play the game....
Yeah! Dunked it!
Kaid's Cadillac stroller!
Aunt Jody got Kaid her very own Makeup! She was hoping for some! She is my girlie girl!
I made mom a little scrapbook with our favorite family pictures from Mom and Dad's wedding day up to now. I think it was a hit!
Yep, I'm pretty sure we have a new member of the family. I'm just glad we don't have to feed her real food! :)
Three little monkeys
I was so impressed how Kason was sitting there smiling so nicely! Still hanging around waiting for more pictures after the girls took off. He's so sweet.
Then before heading back home we made another stop to the nursing home to visit grandma. She doesn't ever remember Kason, but she does a good job at least making us think she remembers us. I think Kaid looks enough like me that she's a little easier to place. I would imagine soon she will just think Kaidrie is me as a kid.
What a wonderful Christmas we had. I feels so blessed to have such wonderful family that we can spend Christmas with. Thank you all for helping us have such a wonderful day. We love you all. And thank you Jesus for letting us all share your Birthday celebrations!
